Executive Director Catherine Jackson
Catherine Jackson is the executive director in charge of day-to-day operations of Winchester Mount Vernon House and has held this position since 1997. She is a registered nurse who was employed at Winchester Hospital for nearly ten years, where she worked both as an R.N. and as a Staff Education Instructor. Later, as an entrepreneur, she established and ran Bayberry Shoe in Winchester Center for ten years. As well as being a registered nurse, Ms. Jackson graduated from Emmanuel College with a B.A. in economics and psychology.
Ms. Jackson has been active in the Winchester community as a former president of the Winchester Chamber of Commerce and former president of Winton Club, where she was also chairperson of Cabaret for Winton Club, an organization whose sole purpose is to benefit Winchester Hospital. She is currently on the Advisory Board for the Winchester Meals on Wheels Program.
Board of DirectorsWe have a volunteer Board of Directors that consists of Winchester business professionals and residents. Our Executive Board is made up of six leaders: a president, vice president, second vice president, secretary, treasurer, and assistant treasurer. There are no less than 10 nor more than 14 directors and 3 investment trustees. They direct the policies for admission and discharge of residents at Winchester Mount Vernon House. They are dedicated to our Statement of Purpose, which has always been a commitment to improving the lives of Winchester seniors.
